Show Transform
Designed to allow LightFactory to Import and Export shows to other consoles and formats.
The intial release (v.1.0.1) allows LightFactory v1 Shows to be converted to v2 Show format.

Product details

LightFactory Show Transform enables you to convert shows between different formats and versions.
  • Fixture Mapping Templates allow you to map your LightFactory v1 Fixtures to their v2 equivalents.
  • Basic documentation included for Fixture Mapping Templates and Basic Error troubleshooting.
  • Supports v1215 LightFactory v1 show.fdb files only. (Open older show files in the latest LightFactory v1 version to convert them first if required).
  • Supports reading Source from a ZIP file.
  • Supports v2002 LightFactory v2 show.fdb files only. (This requires LightFactory v2.0.269 minimum).

Possible future enhancements:

  • Fixture Mapping Template GUI.
  • Support the USITT 'ASCII Text Representation for Lighting Console Data' (with Strand Extensions).
  • Support CSV format for Spreadsheet compatability.

LightFactory v1 to v2 conversion notes:
  • All possible show information is transformed:
Patch and Channels, Matrix, Channel Groups, Palettes, Cue Lists, Cues, Schedules, Macros, Meda Effects, Chase Effects, Attribute Effects (including custom profiles), Timeline Effects, Matrix Effects, Submasters, Show Runners, Effect Runners, Shortcuts, Timecodes, Midi, and finally Library Effects.
  • Dimmer Channel Characteristics:
     Are not transformed.
  • Palettes: Not all properties may be transformed.
  • Channel Groups: Not all properties may be transformed.
  • Attribute Effects: Path's are an approximation.
  • Matrix Effects: Path's are an approximation.
  • Timeline Effects: Moving light paths are an approximation, and transformed in the v1 format.
  • Effects Groups: Names are not transformed, a bracketed number at the end of the effect name i.e. (2) indicates the v1 Effect Grouping.
  • Attribute Effects Path: v2 Attribute Paths are stored on a global basis and are not overwritten with Transform. Therefore if you import several v1 shows, and have used the same Path Name, but different path shapes, then the first path that you imported with be used on subsequent transforms. If this is a problem you will need to rename the profiles in the v2 Profile Editor before running Show Transform for a particular show.
  • Library Effects: Custom Library Effects are transformed, but any edits to the default effects are not.

Please Note :

ShowTransform should only be used on fully registered / licensed LightFactory v1 and v2 installations.
